ティモ・ライト写真展「Everybody That I Love Will Die」が横浜にて開催

フィンランドで活躍する写真家、ティモ・ライトの写真展を、2026年2月20日(金)～3月1日(日) 13:00～19:00 (金土日のみ)に、横浜・石川町のLAUNCH PAD GALLERYにて開催いたします。かけがえの無い時間を過ごした友人たちとの記録を死を意識しながら見つめ振り返る展示をご高覧いただけたら幸いです。

「友⼈が進⾏の早いがんで突然亡くなったとき、 僕の⼈⽣も、仲間たちの⼈⽣も⼤きく変わりまし た。 30代後半から40代にかけて、僕たちは夜遅くまで遊び、刹那的な関係を重ね、先のことを考 えず勢いのままに⽣きる⽣活を送っていました。しかしその出来事をきっかけに、僕たちは突 然、⾃分たちがいかに脆い存在であるか、⼈⽣がいかに儚いものであるかを実感するようになっ たのです。僕は25年以上にわたって、友⼈たちの⼈⽣を写真に収めてきました。この写真シリー ズは、成⻑、愛、友情、そして死を、荒々しくも優しく、時にほろ苦く描いた記録です。偶然に も、写真がアナログからデジタルへと移⾏していく過程、そしてその中間段階も記録しています。」

“When our friend passed away suddenly from an aggressive form of cancer, both my life and the lives of my friends changed. We had been living a fast and furious life well into our 30s and 40s— a life of partying, hookups, and feeling invincible. Suddenly, we started to feel vulnerable, understanding the fragility of life. I’ve been photographing the lives of my friends for over 25 years. This photo series is a rough yet tender, sometimes bittersweet documentation of growing up, love, friendship and death. Accidentally it also documents the transition of photography from analogue to digital, and its intermediate steps.”
