この度、川口祐の個展「呼吸」を、2026年5月15日(金)～24日(日) 13:00～19:00 (金土日のみ)に、横浜・石川町のLAUNCH PAD GALLERYにて開催いたします。展示をご高覧いただけたら幸いです。

「天気が良い穏やかな日は、呼吸が深くなることがある。自分と周りが一体化したような感覚。しかし、そうした当たり前の日常が当たり前ではない世界が一方で、ある。戦争や震災で日常を奪われる。私は画家として「周りと異なる何か」を描くのではなく、周りの空間と一体となる絵画を目指す。そこには普段見えなかった「何か」が見えるかもしれない。」− 川口祐

LAUNCH PAD GALLERY is pleased to announce the upcoming Painting/Installation exhibition titled “Kokyu (Breath)” by Yu Kawaguchi on 5/15/2026 Fri. - 5/24 Sun. (opens Fri, Sat, Sun only)

“On calm, sunny days, my breathing sometimes deepens. It brings a sensation of me and my surroundings becoming one. Yet, I acknowledge that some parts of the world are where such ordinary everyday life is far from ordinary. War and natural disasters rob people of their daily lives. As a painter, I do not aim to depict “something different from my surroundings" but rather to create paintings that become one with the surrounding space. In doing so, I may be able to see “something” that was previously invisible.”
